What to Expect
Over the course of the next several weeks, you will be learning about the Behavioral Analysis Feedback (BAF) Model. You will learn what it is, its purpose, and how to use and implement it to deliver behavior-specific feedback to the nursing students you oversee. You will learn what factors influence performance and how you can deliver feedback that seeks to achieve the desired behavior.
Upon completing the materials, you will then spend the remainder of the semester delivering feedback using the BAF Model and its associated debriefing script while capturing the data in the forms and trackers provided to you. You will be responsible for collecting data three times throughout the study – once at the beginning (baseline), once at the middle (midpoint), and once at the end of the study (final) – using the provided documents; specific dates for when you will conduct the baseline, midpoint, and final assessments will be communicated.
About the Modules
There are five modules for you to complete throughout this research study. Below, please find a summary of each. More details about what is required can be found under the respective module.
Module 1: Training
The first module is the training module where you will learn to use the Behavioral Analysis Feedback Model. In this module, you will access the facilitator guide instructional unit.
Module 2: Baseline Assessment
When you are ready to conduct your first data collection point (baseline), you will go to this module. In this module, you will find everything you need. Here, you will find the baseline job performance analysis questionnaire, the debriefing script, the behavior factors and accompanying rubric, and the baseline feedback tracker and observation form. Once the feedback tracker and observation forms are complete for each nursing student, you will return to this module and upload them using the respective label.
When you are ready to conduct your second data collection point (midpoint), you will go to this module. In this module, you will find everything you need. Here, you will find the midpoint job performance analysis questionnaire, the debriefing script, the behavior factors and accompanying rubric, and the midpoint feedback tracker and observation form. Once the feedback tracker and observation forms are complete for each nursing student, you will return to this module and upload them using the respective label.
Module 4: Final Assessment
When you are ready to conduct your third and final data collection point (final), you will go to this module. In this module, you will find everything you need. Here, you will find the final job performance analysis questionnaire, the debriefing script, the behavior factors and accompanying rubric, and the final feedback tracker and observation form. Once the feedback tracker and observation forms are complete for each nursing student, you will return to this module and upload them using the respective label.
Module 5: End of Study Documents
After you complete the final assessment data collection point, you are required to complete the Nursing Educator Pre-Perception Survey by clicking the image below. Once you complete this, you are done with the research study!
