Welcome to Module 1, the training unit and supplemental materials
In this module, you will complete the instructional unit to learn how to use and implement the Behavioral Analysis Feedback (BAF) Model when delivering feedback to the nursing students you oversee. There is a narrated facilitator guide and a printable version. Although the narrated version is less than 30 minutes, the instructional unit is designed to be completed in approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. It is recommended to print the printable version to read as well as to take notes since the narrated version is abbreviated. Feel free to pause the narrated version as you need to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the model. Please complete the facilitator guide along with reviewing all supplemental documentation by the end of the first week of clinical rotations.
The BAF Model was conceptualized based on the importance of providing feedback to nursing students as well as the elements that have the potential to influence behavior. More importantly, this model emphasizes the need for nursing educators to communicate with nursing students while reinforcing positive behavior or redirecting and correcting behavior through feedback.
